I was born on a family farm in Fiji. We farmed mainly rice and sugarcane. With that we used to have bullocks to till the land and couple of cows which we milked by hand.
In 2015, I came to NZ on tourist visa and upon visiting a farm with my cousin in Ashburton I changed my mind about Dairy Farming. I went back and did a practical in a herringbone shed for 1 year.
In June 2016 I applied for a work visa and was approved. I milked 480 cows on a small farm for a year than moved to a bigger farm milking 1850 in 2017. I then completed my Primary ITO Level 4.
I’m so privileged to join Rylib Group in 2022 and looking forward for a brighter future with Mahanga Dairies.
